Resin Art on The Rise
February 2, 2019
If you are like most people, art is something that appeals to you on at least some level. Not many people can honestly say that they do not like a painting on their wall or have never seen a piece of art that wasn’t at least mildly interesting. At least half of the people you know will become fascinated by an abstract painting. Our mind tries to make things out of the confusion. One of the newest trends though is resin art. If you have not seen the true beauty of resin art, you really should take a look at it.
What Is Resin Art?
Resin art is a type of artwork that uses epoxy resin to create beautiful pictures for your wall. You can add textures using drywall mix or you can add colors with pigment. You may choose to use wood or canvas for your artwork. You simply prepare your board or canvas, use a base coat that you want to work with to cover the surface and add the color. As the epoxy pours color, your colors will mix together and create an eye-catching pattern that will be beautiful.
If you do not want to simply pour colors together, you have the option to paint on your canvas and then use epoxy to cover it. This gives you more control and still allows you to have the epoxy’s glass shine over the picture’s surface.
The Things You Can Make with Resin
Resin is something we once associated with boats and fiberglass type things. Now, thanks to how easy it is to use and how beautiful it can be when applied to a table, as well as all the fun things you can do with it; people are exploring. Desks can be repurposed with epoxy and turned into something beautiful. Coffee tables can have trinkets or photographs encased in epoxy. There are people making even glow in the dark epoxy resin wall plagues. The beautiful thing about epoxy is that when you have a creative idea for any canvas; you can transform it into something that is more beautiful than you ever imagined.
What Will You Create?
Epoxy is something that is truly beautiful once you have poured it and allowed it to harden. The colors that are under it shine through with a glossy finish. Wooden desks or tables and bar tops are all protected from watermarks and spills. Artwork can take on a more appealing abstract look. All you have to do is grab your resin, mix it together, and watch what it can become. It is easy to do, and you do not have to spend days on a single project. Once you mix the epoxy, you only have to work with it for 20 minutes or so. At that time, it will start to harden, so that all you have to do is wait for it to dry. When it is dry, you will truly get to see the masterpiece that you have created.
